--This ride can be challenging but simple enough for even the non-experienced rider. There is an elevation change of nearly 2600 feet. On this ride you will experience the true depth of the forest with wild birds, squirrels, bunnies, deer, and perhaps encounter some of Western North Carolina's carnivorous wild animals.

--This is one of our favorite rides and worth every penny! It is easy and fun for every level of experience. This ride takes you through the woods then over the river to grandma's house. Not really, but you do get to play or swim in the river with your trusty steed. Free time play is available in the river if you want to cool off and get a little wet.

--This ride is not for the inexperienced rider or the faint of heart. It requires the ability to get on and off your horse, walk without assistance, and balance. This ride is mostly single file riding on, a narrow trail, on the side of a mountain. It provides some of the most beautiful landscape scenery and breath taking views. It is a challenging ride but if your u heart is set on adventure and riding this is the one for you.
Q: Do we come to your facility to ride the trails?
A: No, we provide destination trail rides to give a broader riding experience. Depending on the ride you choose you may be riding in SC, GA, or NC. Directions are sent at the time of booking and all rides are within 45 miles of Franklin/Otto/Clayton areas.
Q: What if we get hurt on a ride?
A: While every precaution is taken to ensure a safe and fun ride for everyone - horses are animals with brains all their own - accidents can happen. All riders are required to sign a waiver of liability prior to the beginning of the ride. Nichole is a trained Registered Nurse with certifications in advanced life support, pediatric advanced life support, as well as wilderness first aide.
Q: Do you take credit cards or checks?
A: We do NOT accept checks. Cash is always accepted and preferred. Credit cards are accepted in advance of your ride due to the need for internet connection.
Q: How can I book a ride with you?
A: You may use the Contact Us link at the top of the page or find us on Facebook @Happyhillsacres and send us a private message. Reservation deposits of $20 per rider is required to hold your ride. Please be flexible with your scheduling, our rides fill up fast and the weather can be a cause for cancellation, so we prefer a few days notice prior to scheduling.
Q: For the Mountain Climber ride, do I need to pack a lunch?
A: YES! You will want to bring snacks or lunch, and plenty of water. Saddles bags will be provided for each horse but a backpack is also recommended.
