Q: What if my horse gets hurt?
A: While every precaution is taken to ensure a safe environment for you and your horses - horses tend to find a way to injure themselves quite often - Owners will sign a waiver of liability prior to training, boarding, or facility use. Owners are responsible for any vet and farrier care incurred while horses are on the property.
Q: What if we get hurt during a lesson or training?
A: While every precaution is taken to ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone - horses are animals with brains all their own - accidents can happen. All riders are required to sign a waiver of liability prior to the beginning of the training or lesson. Our professional trainer is a working Registered Nurse with certifications in advanced life support, pediatric advanced life support, as well as wilderness first aide.
Q: Do you take credit cards or checks?
A: We do NOT accept checks. Cash is always accepted and preferred. All credit cards are accepted.
Q: How can I book a lesson or horse training with you?
A: You may use the Contact Us link at the top of the page or find us on Facebook @Happyhillsacres and send us a private message. Please be flexible with your scheduling, our training and lesson spots fill up fast and the weather can be a cause for cancellation, so we prefer a few days' notice prior to scheduling.
Q: For any day activities, do I need to pack a lunch?
A: You will want to bring a small cooler of snacks or lunch if you'd like and plenty of water for facility only activities. There are plenty of fast food places within minutes of the farm as well. Cold waters will be provided by the trainer free of charge for lessons or training.
